Ancient Japan with a twist – How to do voice overs and become a voice actor, voice over training and tips, voice over blog – Voice Actor's Notebook

August 28th, 2014

If you’re a fan of samurai, ninjas, or pretty much anything about Japan, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this unique twist of a tale of ancient Japan. The Sword of the Ronin is a marvelous blend of Japanese magical folklore combined with the beauty and characteristics of feudal Japan.

I’m especially excited about this audiobook because, if you’ve kept up with this blog, then you know that I currently live in Japan (and am quite fluent in the Japanese language.) The book is completely accurate with its portrayal of Japanese culture and the myriad of folktales that were incorporated into the storyline.

But wait, this is book two in the series?

Yep.

Book one, Heart of the Ronin, was recorded by another narrator and released as a free podcast. (You can listen to it here or subscribe to the RSS Feed.)

But you can jump right into book two if you wish, the author, Travis Hermann, does an excellent job of filling the listener in on what took place in book one.
